At NAOS, we measure our products’ impact on organisms living in salt water (seas and oceans) as well as fresh water (lakes and rivers), which are particularly rich in biodiversity. Thus, in addition to coral and marine algae, we perform ecotoxicity tests on freshwater plankton (Daphnia magna Straus).
And because we care about protecting all aquatic ecosystems, this issue encompasses far more than just sun care products. This is why we carry out biodegradability tests on any products that may come into contact with aquatic ecosystems, like hygiene products that are rinsed off.
